The annual clay pigeon shoot organised by the Staindrop Branch of Bishop Auckland Conservative Association took place at Snotterton Hall on Sunday 1st June by kind permission of Mr. and Mrs Billy Thompson.
The event was blessed with the most glorious weather which made it even more fun for those attending; the parasols outside the entertainment tent were in great demand as spectators looked for shade and a cool place to sit out of the sun.
County Councillor Mrs. Barbara Harrison, the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bishop Auckland attended the event and walked round the release traps watching the competitors in action and spoke to many of the spectators. She said that this was the first time she had attended a Clay Pigeon Shoot and how good it was to see so many people of all ages enjoying themselves.
